Honoring Departed Loved Ones: Special touches for special people

Losing a loved one is a difficult and emotional time for anyone. It’s a period that requires deep reflection, remembrance, and honoring the life of the departed in a meaningful way. That's where Amy Eastwood Funerals steps in – a compassionate and dedicated funeral service business that understands the significance of personalized funeral services.

A well-used espresso cup sat atop the coffin, a small centrepiece in the funeral for a much-loved father and grandfather. The cup would have looked entirely out of place to those who did not understand the significance.

Coffee and the rituals of its consumption were an integral part of the man that friends and family had gathered to mourn, and as such, it had become a part of his farewell.

Before he was lowered into the grave, the cup was placed inside the coffin for the final journey. Those gathered threw coffee beans into the grave, with a knowing chuckle, as a beautiful tribute to a wonderful man.

Tributes and ceremonies are integral parts of how we say goodbye and start the healing process after the death of a loved one. Finding genuine and meaningful ways to express the emotions of those left behind is something the team at Picaluna prides itself on.
